First we ask for volunteers to play all the reindeer and good old Santa Claus.
They are invited up onto the stage and we give antlers to our reindeer and
Santa has his beard a hat. (We make sure to keep this very simple and fast)
Those who are in the audience are given "roles" (suggestions),
to react to certain parts of our story,
such as being: dancing sugar plums, the leaves falling and
"the prancing and pawing of each little hoof..."
This way, everyone feels as if they, too, are a part of the story,
as they act it out with us.
Stephanie Belle (the Elf) tells the actual story with a fun and silly flair,
while directing the children to participate throughout.
Jennie Belle (dressed like Mrs. Santa Claus) plays musical interludes
and songs on her guitar, to add humor and enhance parts of the story.
The children (and parents) are kept joyfully involved in the fun!
Until we all end with the last line of the story together ...
"MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT!"
We close with a rousing sing-a-long of
"WE WISH YOU A MERRY CHRISTMAS"
(THIS SHOW RUNS APPROXIMATELY 45 MINUTES)
THE SILVER BELLES HOLIDAY SHOW FOR KIDS
The SILVER BELLES children's show begins with a fun
Holiday Carol Sing-A-Long, with songs picked out especially for kids such as:
Deck the Hall, Jingle Bells, Up on the House Top, Santa Claus is Coming to Town,
Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and more.
This helps to rally everyone together and get them involved with us.
After the warm-up, we introduce our story...
